Frequently asked questions

The selection of the appropriate Pressure Pump depends on the source of water supply, pipe diameter, flow requirement, pressure requirements, number of connections, and if the pump is going to work along with controller or pressure tank.

A pump that is undersized might not be able to provide sufficient pressure whereas an oversized pump might be inefficient or even unnecessary. The Irrigation Hub offers well-reputed pressure pump manufacturers like Grundfos, Bianco, Lowara and Calpeda.

Yes, Pressure Pumps are frequently fitted to rainwater tanks for supplying water to either the garden, toilet, laundry, or outside tap or even the household, based on the setup of the equipment.

To achieve optimum efficiency, it is imperative that the pump is suited to the tank outlet, pipes, pressure, and flow rate. It may be important that the right controller or pressure system be incorporated to enable automatic operation of the pump.

To pick the appropriate Multistage Pump, you need to know your desired flow, pressure, pipe size, power source, and water source/application type. A pump that is too small won't provide sufficient pressure, whereas a pump that is too big can be inefficient or even unnecessary.

At The Irrigation Hub, we carry reliable multistage pump models such as Grundfos, Lowara and Calpeda. If you are confused about which model is right for you, just ask us!

Multistage Pumps are an excellent option in cases where irrigation requires a constant pressure for sprinklers, drip irrigation, filtration equipment, or long lengths of piping.

In cases where the normal garden pump is not delivering adequate pressure or if there is a need for stable flow for your irrigation system, then the Multistage Pump becomes extremely relevant. Be sure to know the flow rate and other requirements before selecting a pump.

Bore Pumps are used to lift water out of a bore or deep well and transport it to its destination. These pumps are often used for garden irrigation, farm water supply, livestock watering, pressure systems for the home and even large landscape watering.

For those who are dependent on their groundwater, selecting the correct bore pump can ensure good water flow, pressure, and efficiency in irrigation.

Drainage & Sump Pumps are used to drain excess water from places like pits, basements, storage tanks, storm water, flooded areas and drainage systems. They are usually used when there is water in low areas which requires to be drained off immediately and effectively.

They are ideal for use in both residential and commercial premises where drainage of water is required.

Choose a sump pump based on the amount of water to be removed, the vertical lift, pipe length, discharge size and how quickly the area needs to drain. Head height is especially important, as pump flow reduces as water is lifted higher or pushed through longer pipe runs.
