Sludge Away (Powder Solution) 50g can treat up to 1,000L (250g) Sludge Away is a specialised beneficial bacteria product developed for use in anaerobic or low-oxygen environments, such as pond bottoms and sediment-rich water bodies. The strain, BBA AnaeroPro-411, was carefully selected and adapted for its rapid colonisation, efficient organic matter degradation, and its ability to restore ecological balance in sludge-prone conditions. Benefits of Sludge Away Bacteria Continuous decomposition of organic sludge and detritus, producing short-chain organic acids (e.g., lactic, acetic, butyric acids) that reduce odor, black sludge, and ammonia build-up. Produces antimicrobial peptides and bacteriocins to inhibit harmful anaerobic pathogens. Breaks down proteins, fats, and carbohydrates into smaller molecules (amino acids, fatty acids, sugars), enhancing nutrient cycling and microbial balance. Reduces sludge volume, eases filtration load, and improves bottom water quality over time
